Jazz-trained.
Soul-driven.
Dorien Wells grew up in Nova Scotia, Canada, and spent years deep in jazz — studying the guitar, gigging, living the tradition. That foundation never left. It just got filtered through something more personal: late-night R&B, rawer vocals, songs that hit like a conversation you weren't expecting to have.
Now based in Canada and putting out solo work, Dorien makes Neo-Soul and R&B that carries the weight of a musician who actually put in the time. Think Leon Thomas, Lucky Daye, D'Angelo — but with a guitarist's ear and a Nova Scotian's grit.
